Spring is here and summer is just around the corner, Nicolas Kirkwood has designed  some of the most desired shoes for the two loved seasons! Here are the top 5.

Nicolas Kirkwood

The beautiful signature sandal bootie in natural snakeskin with white leather trim, woven leather front detail, leather laces and gold-tone pin heel. The fabulous shoe would look amazing in black leather jeggings and a long silk shirt!

Nicolas Kirkwood

Nude laser cut leather peep-toe sling back bootie with a gold pin heel, would look amazing with a pencil skirt, just a little nice shoe for the office girl!

Nicolas Kirkwood

T-strap sandal in navy with thin patent leather straps and thin sculpted pin heel, would be an amazing shoe to wear with just about anything, and girls remember just like in my last post navy can be known as the new black!

Nicolas Kirkwood

Girls do not be afraid of the beautiful Lime green! The beautiful raffia pointed-toe pump with a hexagonal bijoux embellishment at the toe is a great statement in the fashion world both in summer and spring!

Nicolas Kirkwood

This little number, composed of nude silk satin sandal with a cut-out heel and small pearl detail, it would look amazing with a summer dress for a summer get together!

Now you have 5 of the most have shoes for spring and summer 2014! These shoes would make heads turn either in a party, social gatherings, weddings, family events, or in the office, because they all have a nice summer/spring girly statement!

Man-Up Monday: Obama’s Easter Wardrobe Compilation

This suit may be neutral in color, but it’s quite charming!

GQ is our source, but Barack Obama’s Easter wardrobe is the topic! I’m going to be equally as harsh as GQ; they make valid points. Two out of four of our Mr. President’s suits weren’t terribly uninteresting… Wait, two out of four… Oh! Unless the grading system changed overnight, that’s still an ‘F.’ The problem Obama comes across, more often than not, is not stepping outside of the presidential comfort zone. His particular zone involves shades, neutrals, and subtle pops of color in regards to accessories. Ah, well! Maybe when his time in office comes to an end, the paparazzi will catch him in more news worthy attire.

P.s. Let’s keep in mind that confidence alone can change your appearance! His Easter outfits have been boringly consistent but he walks tall regardless.

If the president can’t find a perfectly tailored suit, what hope is there for the rest of us?!

I’m actually a sucker for the brown and blue combination!

Mr. President… Please. We can do a bit more than simply reach for the blue tie…

Frozen: Dress Success

An Oscar winning movie is now causing some major drama! Frozen has taken over households all over the country. Little girls singing the songs they now know by heart, begging their parents to let them go play in the snow outside -before it all melted- , and of course lusting after the costume from their favorite ice queen. Disney has always done a stellar job franchising its movies. Disney did not see this one coming however.  Disney stores across the U.S. are sold out of the “Elsa” dress. This is the dress designed for little girls, made to resemble the ice queen from the movie. Since the dress has been sold out in stores for quite some time now, moms are trying whatever they can to get their hands on this dress. The dress has been seen on EBay for $1,600, and handmade versions are being sold on Etsy for around $250. “What’s the big deal?” some people ask, but have you ever had to deal with an angry 4-6 year old? If so, you understand.  I guess you could say Disney underestimated how successful Frozen was going to be. It is now the top -grossing animated film of all time!!

Simple & elegant; The Royal Tour in New Zealand.

Princess Kate looked stunning during her recent visit to New Zealand. My favorite looks are composed of a “perfect black-shoe” with a little twist because she took a simple navy shoe and gave it the title of the “new black”, while showing that simple accessories are always best when left at minimum, which in her style it included her beautiful earrings and her gorgeous wedding ring,  she has also shown that sometimes sporting a pony-tail is the “go-to” hairstyle, for a clean look.

Man-Up Monday: Loungewear and GQ

Human beings are funny creatures; am I right? We take active wear to the couch and loungewear to the critics… And we all know that both of those categories have intertwined over the years. Oh, well! I can adapt… No, even better! I appreciate the irony. So, who has Man-Up Monday geared its focus on? It’s none other than the lovely GQ, gents! According to GQ’s creative director, Jim Moore, the type of sweatpants taking over this spring, “come fitted, taper at the ankle, and include elevated details…” (Moore). I’m all for it! I want to see our men walking around, not with the played-out college sweats, but with something that has a little more… Umph!

Here are a few fabulous options for those looking around:

What did you say, Zara? Comfy cotton trousers? … Take my money.

You too, Club Monaco? Okay, if you insist!

Wait, Zara! You already took my money once… Denim detailing, you say? Alright, alright.

Jennifer Aniston: Haircut

They say every trend always comes full circle, and hair styles are no exception! The bob is back, and better than ever! What used to be a popular style in the 20′s is now taking over Hollywood, and we are loving the results! Jennifer Aniston has been a hair idol in Hollywood since the debut of the “Rachel” cut in the late 90′s, but now she is making headlines again by adopting the newest long bob trend. The star has had long hair for quite some time and said she was due for a change. I happen to love the “new do”, I think it suits her style perfectly! Then again Jennifer Aniston could rock any hair style and still look gorgeous. Check out the before and after pictures below.
