President of the Council of Fashion Designers of America, Diane Von Furstenberg, is designing a children’s collection for Gap that launches March 15. Check out the sneak peak video below. Chicago Designer Elise Bergman was featured at the Diet Pepsi Style Studio Runway Show at Lincoln Center last week during New York Fashion Week! What an exciting opportunity for this talented young 26 year old who resides in our fabulous city to gain a wider audience at NYFW!  Bravo Elise…we wish you well.

There aren’t many trends that can be universally worn by men, women and children. But the knitted ski hat, with its playful shape and variety of styles, is a great winter staple for everyone.

All eyes were on bebe black as the Fall 2012 collection made its way down the runway with A-listers like Snooki, Angela Simmons, and Jil Zarin sitting front row and center! We were very lucky to get seats as well and we were very pleased with the collection. The models strutted down the runway in looks that were an homage to the forties, but with the edginess of the 80s flick Blade Runner. We sipped on cool java drinks, and even enjoyed a new IPhone4 case in our goodie bags! What a treat. We surely can’t wait for fall to start seeing these trends on the streets.

Fashion week has been in full swing for a couple of days now, and we are so excited to be here witnessing the latest fall fashions first hand! Yesterday we had the pleasure of attending Pamella Roland’s collection. As we walked into the dark tent we could hear the whistling of snow, as light snow flakes shimmered across the walls! It was purely magical! Pamella drew her inspiration from the Aspen landscape and it came across quite beautifully in her creations. It was fun to see all the celebs sitting front row like Kristen Chenoweth, Ms. J Alexander with Nigel Barker of America’s Next Top Model, and Real Housewife of New York Jil Zarin. What a way to spend my evening!

When it comes to shoes, I always look for a little edge to bring my outfit to the next level and no other designer brings the “bad” in badass better than Alexander Wang.  It’s hard to pick just one shoe out of his spring collection but after realizing that I do not have the expense account of Serena Van Der Woodsen even when sometimes I think I do, I came to the above conclusion. What I love about Wang’s shoes is the hard lines, nothing is soft about his designs, which make them perfect for trotting around New York City. Emina High Mesh Sandal in Black is priced at $595.00 and can be purchased on Alexanderwang.com in the upcoming weeks when they are released. Be sure to check out Wang’s Facebook page to see more of the collection. It’s hard to duplicate Wang’s personified coolness but Topshop does a pretty good job, with its Scooter Sporty Platform sandal coming in at $156.00.
