Today’s Good Day Chicago segment featured Illinois royalty. Barbara Glass met up with two former Miss Illinois winners, and the reigning champion, Brittany Smith. “Evening Wear” was the focus, as all three women wore beautiful gowns from Bridal Elegance (www.bridalelegance.us.com/about.htm).

Miss Illinois 2013 Brittany Smith

Bio: Brittany was born and raised in Elmhurst, Illinois. Her accomplishments include ranking #36 internationally at the 2007 World Championships of Irish Dance, holding a title in the Golden Key Honor Society at Purdue University, and being a recipient of the Jenny Helms Scholarship for academic achievement. On September 15th, she will be competing for the title of Miss America.

Bio:  Coming from Rushville, Illinois, Megan was the first woman since 1948 to take the Miss Illinois title from the central part of the state. She then moved on to become a top ten finalist in the Miss America pageant. Currently, she works as a model for several agencies and is the face for Soderstom Skin Institute.

Bio: Hannah’s hometown is Huntley, Illinois, from which she traveled 35,000 miles to give presentations on “Distracted Driving”. She has placed in the top ten finalists of the Miss America pageant, showcasing her dancing talent on national television. Today, she is a member of the Miss Illinois State Committee as a choreographer.
