Evelyn & Estée Lauder Go Pink

Beautiful Ring From The Collection 

Sotheby’s New York announced this past Monday, that this coming December they will auction off 35 pieces from the private jewel collection of Estée Lauder and her daughter-in-law Evelyn.  The collection is worth an estimated $13 million, with all proceeds going to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The showstopper of the event is the  Harry Winston heart shaped yellow diamond that once belonged to the Duchess of Windsor. The necklace seen below, has a pre-sale estimated of $5 million.

Mr. Lauder, Evelyn’s husband, told Women’s Wear Daily this about the auctions of the Lauder’s jewels, “I know that both my mother Estée and my dear wife Evelyn would be pleased that these items are being sold to raise funds for The Breast CanCer Research Foundation”. Pieces of the collection will be available for exhibit in the following areas: Geneva, London, and Los Angeles. The full collection will be on display in New York City for four days starting December 1st, and ending on the day of the auction on December 5th.

Evelyn Lauder, a woman with a story to tell, passed away last year, November 2011. Estée Lauder died in 2004. Evelyn was a co-founder of the Pink Ribbon campaign, that we all know so well today. In 1993, Evelyn established the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, and even personally made it a goal to open the Evelyn H. Lauder Breast Center. So, check out this beautiful collection because there is no better trend than donating.
