Actress Sarah Jessica Parker, best known for her portrayal of character, Carrie Bradshaw, in the series Sex and the City, is set to play an editor for Vogue.com in an upcoming episode of Glee. The celebrated actress has a long-standing relationship with the magazine, having graced its cover regularly during her career. Indeed, Anna Wintour, editor in chief of the ‘style bible,’ personally helped dress Parker for her cameo in the musical sitcom.

Interestingly, audiences are warned not to expect a Bradshaw-type character for Parker’s Cameo.  Instead, we can look forward to seeing Parker play a quirky and less serious part. In a statement to AccessHollywood.com, co-creator and executive producer Ian Brennan explained that Parker will play a woman who is “sort of frazzled, eccentric, hilarious.”

To reflect Parker’s ‘kooky’ character, Wintour dressed the actress in a notably different style than that worn by Sex and the City character, Bradshaw. According to Grazia magazine, a source notes that Parker will be clad in, “garishly coloured tights, threadbare jeans, glitter glasses, [and] puffy skirts,” adding that the wardrobe also includes “eccentric hats and tweed shirts from Marc Jacobs, a Prada graphic print pantsuit from the fall show and a Miu Miu oversize doctor bag from the fall/winter show in the mix.”  Good luck to Sarah Jessica Parker on her Glee debut!
