It’s has been months since Amy Winehouse’s tragic early death shook the music community, but yesterday marked the release of her first posthumous album, “Lioness: Hidden Treasures”. The album shows a lighter side of Amy and a more retro vibe than seen on previous works. Some songs are songs recorded years before Amy passed, but never made it to an album. Others are older and slightly altered versions of Amy songs most fans have already heard, like “Valerie” and “Wake Up Alone”. Overall, I give this album a thumbs up and recommend it anyone, Amy fan or not.
