Chicago Street Fashion: Over the Knee Boots

With all of the new boot trends out there for winter it is sometimes hard to decide which boots go well with which outfit. This seasons wide leg and flair jeans are becoming more prevalent which is making high boots harder to wear. With these types of jeans I perfer wedge boots or shorter booties. When wearing high boots it is important to remember to pair them with skinny jeans, tights or skirts. I personally think that over the knee boots look great with a longer tunic and tights like Rachel Zoe is wearing.

I love the color of these lighter tan boots. I think that they are a perfect shade for daytime. The slit behind the knee makes the shape of the boot more flattering. I think that this look works well for her, because of her height and the length of her coat. Since she is taller there is enough space between the high boots and the longer jacket.

Since this fashionista is a bit shorter, she chose to pair her over the knee boots with a shorter leather jacket. I especially love the closeness in jacket color and boots. The dark denim and lighter top underneath help break up the two pieces but still hold together the look. When wearing statement boots always remember to keep the rest of the outfit relatively simple .

I love these boots! Snakeskin over the knee black boots are already amazing and the way that this Chicagoan paired them with a bright orange sleeveless tunic, navy leggings and black open shouldered turtle neck is amazing. Although there are a lot of different elements to this outfit it works, because all the pieces mesh together nicely and compliment one another. This winter when deciding on boots, don’t be afraid to go for a bold over the knee look as they are stylish and flattering on most body types!
