Teens Speak: Levi’s Commuter Series

Last week, Levi’s debuted its new Commuter Series. The Commuter Series features clothes designed for the biker. No, not motorcycle type biker, I mean, a biker that rides a real bicycle like how everyone did back in the day. Just kidding, I know nothing about back in the day, I’m fifteen.

But I do know that the latest collection by Levi’s is something to cheer about. Fellow bikers, we now have jeans that are made for us (well, right now the line only features jeans for men, but still). The jeans have more elasticity then the traditional 511s, a utility waistband to hold the always needed U-lock, a higher rise in the back because crack kills, they are water-resistant, and are designed to stay clean with “antimicrobial Sanitized┬« technology.” Super cool, right?!? And even better, the jeans have reflective tape on the inside cuffs, so you can be trendy and safe! We all know jeans look even better with a little cuff roll to just above the ankle, and Levi’s made this even more practical.

Biking has become beyond fashionable, as it is good for the environment and your health! 3.1 Phillip Lim even made a little video called “Girls On Bikes” to showcase the Fall/Winter 2011 line. Cities all over the world are encouraging it, including Chicago with our Bike 2015 Plan, and Paris! If people in Paris are doing it, we know it’s fashionable. ;)

So all you young bikers, and bikers-to-be go get some jeans Levi’s!
